This Walpole, Massachusetts, police officer was learning the ropes of community outreach.
Deputy Chief John Carmichael on Wednesday came across some girls waiting at their bus stop. "What followed was an epic jump rope battle for neighborhood domination," the police department's Facebook page said.
"I'm just getting started," Carmichael boasted as he ticks off the jumps against Molly and Sarah in the video below.
On the morning of 06/10/2015, Deputy Chief John Carmichael encountered several neighborhood girls waiting at their bus stop. Always willing to positively engage with Walpole's youth, DC Carmichael stopped to talk with them. What followed was an epic jump rope battle for neighborhood domination.Although he made a gallant effort, DC Carmichael's advanced years were no match for the energy and vitality of youth.Congratulations to Molly (L) and Sarah (R) on an impressive display.

But in this case, the girls fought the law and the law ... lost.
"Although he made a gallant effort, DC Carmichael's advanced years were no match for the energy and vitality of youth," the department wrote.
One of the cutest turf wars ever.
